The 1st JIOSH+W – Japan edition of A+A – Grand Opening with 100+ exhibitors from 18 countries & regions; 16 – 19 July 2025 @ INTEX OSAKA
▶ The aim of JIOSH+W matches the theme of Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai,
Japan "Designing Future Society for Our Lives" which opened 13 April
▶ JIOSH+W will be concurrently held with Future Monodzukuri
International EXPO (FMI EXPO)

▶ The 1st JIOSH+W reached 104 exhibitors and 170 booths from
18 countries and regions around the world
Messe Messe Düsseldorf Japan Ltd. will organize the 1st JIOSH+W – Japan International Trade Fair for Occupational Safety & Health + Well-being (in Japanese: はたらく現場の環境展) at INTEX OSAKA from 16 to 19 July 2025.
The main exhibits at JIOSH+W are technologies & products that are particularly functional, sustainable and advanced, and on top, well-designed and smart. This concept has stirred a great deal of interest and expectation from Japan and abroad: the 1st edition of JIOSH+W attracts 104 exhibitors / 170 booths from 18 countries & regions. together with concurrent events, 300+ companies and organisations will be there to await the professional visitors.
60% of exhibitors are from overseas, while 60% of exhibitors applied from Japan secured 60% of the space. Key companies from Japan such as Birkenstock Japan, Imajo, Kaneka, Kuchofuku, KURABO, Makku, MTG, Nisshinbo Textiles, Otafuku Gloves, Pi Photonics, Riken Keiki, Showa Gloves, Tatsuno, TS DESIGN (alphabetical order of company names) will showcase a wide range of products, while ATG Hand Care, Haining Jintai New Material, JAAN LIH OPTICAL, Rothoblaas, S-TOP, WORKSAFE and other global companies & associations including those exhibited at A+A in Germany will participate (the list of exhibitors is available here).

■EXO STREET
Fraunhofer Institute for Manufacturing Engineering and Automation
(Fraunhofer IPA) – the largest applied research institute in Europe, virgo
wave, NKE and others will come together to present exoskeletons @ EXO
STREET. Visitors can try out exoskeletons at Fraunhofer IPA booth (B-226),
and a seminar event will be held daily during JIOSH+W in collaboration with
Assist Suit Association in Japan and Social Security Organisation (PERKESO)
in Malaysia.
■Basi Stage: 17 July (Thu) 11.00 am - 4.00 pm @ 6 Hall Zone A
Basi Stage will be held on the stage in Hall 6, Zone A on the 2nd day.
Basi (German Federal Association for Occupational Safety and Health), which
organizes conference programme at A+A in Düsseldorf/Germany and has
attracts speakers and participants from all over the world, will be holding an
event in Japan for the first time.
■Talk & Show @ 6 Hall Zone B
One of the exciting events @ Talk & Show taking place every day during
JIOSH+W is “Craftsmen's Realities Change Everything”. Mr. Koichi Yamashita,
Representative of NEXT WORKERZ and has experience as a steeplejack has
been focusing on voices of craftsmen and their reality on construction sites,
and had been developing products based on such feedback. He will speak
from his unique perspective about the current state of industry and the
direction it should be heading, as discovered through his own way of life.
■International Conference:
“The Gift for the Future “Safety, Health & Well-being for All”
This event, which attracts a great deal of attention from professionals in the
field of occupational safety and health in Japan and abroad, takes place
during the same period as JIOSH+W. Organised by Global Initiative for
Safety, Health & Well-being (GISHW), of which Dr. Masao Mukaidono is the
Honorary Chair, the programme comprises a total of seven global events,
including High-Level Summit, World Assembly, International Symposium and
ILO Youth Congress and takes place at EXPO Hall “Shining Hat” in Expo 2025
Osaka, Kansai, Japan and at INTEX OSAKA.
Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan is currently running under the theme “Designing Future Society for Our Lives” which matches the aim of JIOSH+W, and heat stroke prevention measures have recently become mandatory in Japan for all businesses employing workers.
